Green Lake Seattle Neighborhood
The
Green Lake neighborhood is a destination spot for people
within Seattle who come to run, bike skate or walk in Green
Lake Park's 2.8 mile paths. The park also serves as a natural
preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as
well as numerous birds and waterfowl.
Green
Lake is mostly comprised of single family homes, mid-century
apartments, townhomes and condos. The area just NE of the
park is currently undergoing considerable redevelopment
with new condominium and apartment buildings.
The
north Seattle neighborhood is bounded by Wallingford on
the south, Greenwood/Phinney Ridge to the west, Maple Leaf
to the north and Roosevelt to the east.
