Condos & Lofts
This
is a fantastic time to consider condo and loft living in
the Rain City. Seattle is undergoing a renaissance with
many new stylistic urban condomimiums and lofts planned
over the next five years. In fact, there are major rejuvenation
projects in the downtown core -, Midtown, Belltown, South
Lake Union and Denny Triangle districts - making it more
residential and pedestrian friendly. Several
supermarkets, a street car and other services are underway.
According
to NWMLS figures, condos are now starting to outpace single
family homes in appreciation. In King County, condo appreciation
surpassed single family homes 2 of the past 5 years.
The in-city neighborhoods - downtown, Belltown, Capitol
Hill and Queen Anne have seen the bulk of new construction.
With that, these areas also exhibit higher inventory supply
and in recent years, declining values as a result.
