your questions.
Interest Rate impact on buying power

We get
so inundated with information these days that it is easy
to let this “news” get lost in the shuffle. The truth is
that interest rates are at an all time historic low. What
this means to you is that you can purchase more; as this
graph shows you, if rates were around 8% you could purchase
up to $361,000 and with today’s rates you can go up to $555,000.
We don’t
know what the future will hold but we do know what we have
today; when it comes to buying a home, what are you waiting
for? After
all, we have plentiful inventory to choose from, affordable
home price points, interest rates at all time lows, and
the $8000 tax credit. This is one of the better Seattle
real estate markets for a buyer that I have ever seen; it
may be the best market we’ve had in decades. Are you ready
to begin?
FHA Mortgage
The
mortgage industry is in a state of flux with changing guidelines
and eligibility parameters. In some cases, conventional
mortgage loans now require anywhere from 10% to 25% down
payment.
One
stalwart loan program which has gained considerable popularity
is FHA mortgages. With flexible eligibility
guideline, competitive interest rates and requiring only
a 3.5% down payment, many home buyers are now utilizing
FHA mortgages. Learn more about FHA
mortgages.
Seattle Real Estate Blogs:
LivingNorthwest.com
provides considerable information about the Seattle
real estate market. In addition, I've supplemented the
information contained here in two real estate blogs. The
Seattle Condo Blog profiles the numerous condo and
loft buildings throughout the Seattle core area - Belltown,
Pioneer Square, Downtown Seattle, Queen Anne, First Hill,
Capitol Hill, Ballard and Green Lake. This blog includes information
on existing and new Seattle condo & loft projects and
pre-construction presale information.
My other
blog, Seattle
Housing Buzz, focuses on news, trends and commentation
about the Seattle housing real estate market. Additionally,
current and topical information about mortgage rates, market
data, and new real estate technology will be profiled.
If you're
new
to Seattle, or a long-time resident, buying
your home can be intimidating. So, too, can selling
your home as it's usually your biggest asset. To ensure
a smooth real estate experience rely on me to simplify the
process by handling the hard work for you.
Are
you interested to know how much your home is
worth? Let me prepare a Home
Valuation Report specifically for you. This complimentary
report is based on your home's features with comparable
properties that recently sold in your neighborhood.
For
many of us, our family includes our two- and four-legged
pets. For condo buyers particularly, many condo projects
may limit or have restrictions on pets. To help our buyers
we've provided a list of pet-friendly and unfriendly condos.
Please check out our pet-friendly
Seattle condo list.
